Sadie Lillian Hodge Smith, born August 30, 1899, died August daughter of William Wallace and Alma Hodge, sister to Dorothy Hodge, late of Angel Falls, OR and Grand Rapids, MI. Sadie was the wife of the late Captain (Dr.) Thomas Smith of the Canadian Army Medical Corp. and the Masons. Sadie was a member of Eastern Star and a nurse with the Red Cross Service. Sadie and Tom lived in Kalamazoo for many years before his death. Sadie, after Tom's death, lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with her sister Dorothy Hodge. They later moved to California and then to Oregon. Sadie toured Europe and the Vatican at the age of 93 years.
She has been a joyful part of our family.
