George Gailey Chambers stopped teaching in the Fulton County Schools in order to attend Dickinson College. He married one of his former students, Anna Covalt and after graduating in 1902 from Dickinson moved to Philadlephia where he spent the rest of his life as a professor of mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania. He frequently returned to Fulton County to pursue his interest in genealogy and much of his work is reflected on this web page.
