This site's goal is to share information and photo's my husband, Kenneth
Krumm and I have collected on his family. At the present time the earliest
ancestor we have is Jakob KRUMM born in Württemberg, Germany. His son
Martin Krumm was born in 1697 in Ohmenhausen, Württemberg and he died in
Bronnweiler, Württemberg. The remainder of the family notes we have show
future descendants mainly being born there in Bronnweiler. Three
generations later in 1832 Johannes Martin KRUMM
comes to America to settle
in Mifflin twp., Franklin Co., OH. This man has twenty children (wow!) by
two wives. First ten children were born in Germany, seven of these lived to adulthood and
came with him. The other ten of his children, by second wife were born
here in Ohio. Many of Johannes Martin's children from his first wife
became professionals: lawyers, businessmen, two of them went "out West" in
the gold rush.. His "second group" were primarily farmers.
(Photo of second
group) Three
of these children (that we know of so far): Philip (who married Susannah
Young); Fredericka (who married Henry Gieseck) and Harmon (who married his
half-niece, Elizabeth Meyer), left Franklin County, OH
to buy land, farm and raise their families in Lima Twp., Licking County,
OH along Refugee Road from Summit Rd to Mink Rd. I
have all the details in my database which you can search below:
A majority of
the KRUMM families were buried at Greenlawn. Those who moved to Licking
County are found mainly at Pataskala
Cemetery or
Silent Home Cemetery. Click on links see tombstone
