Isaac Otis was born on 26 September 1798 at Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, New York.^4,2 He was the son of Ephraim Otis and Mary Cornwell.³ Isaac Otis married Caroline Abigail Curtiss on 25 January 1827 at Homer, Cortland County, New York.^1,5,2 Isaac Otis died from accident on 12 March 1853 at Prairieville, Barry County, Michigan, at age 54 years, 5 months and 14 days.⁵
Caroline Abigail Curtiss and Isaac Otis resided between 1827 and 1834 at Homer, Cortland County, New York.⁵ Isaac Otis was enumerated as head of household on the 1830 census Homer, Cortland County, New York. Caroline Abigail Curtiss, Alfred Gideon Otis and George Lorenzo Otis may have been the members of the household.⁶ Caroline Abigail Curtiss and Isaac Otis resided from 1834 to 1836 at Calhoun County, Michigan.⁵ Isaac Otis was enumerated as head of household on the 1840 census Van Buren, Wayne County, Michigan.
