OBITUARY OF MRS. MARY MORGAN BARKSDALE

Lynchburg News, 4 January 1953

Mrs. Mary Morgan Barksdale, widow of William Randolph Barksdale, Jr., of 800 Court Street, Lynchburg, died in her sleep, January 3, 1953.

She was born in Gladys, Virginia, daughter of R.W. and M.J. Morgan.

Her sister, Georgia Morgan, died several months ago.

She was married June 21, 1904, and was a member of Memorial Methodist Church, Women's Club of Lynchburg, Antiquarians, and the Lynchburg Garden Club.

Survivors: daughters Mrs. Holmes Alexander of Baltimore, and Hallie Craddock Barksdale of Lynchburg; brother Peyton Morgan of Lynchburg; 3 grandchildren.
