The Ancestors of Richard Ollyer (Ollier) a Brewer of Holborn London

All names are in bold for ease of reference.

First Generation

Richard OLLYER (OLLIER) was baptised in 1683 (From another researcher, no place given) He died in 1745 at Holborn, London. Note: As only his daughters Mary & Alice are mentioned in his will of 1745, it is assumed that his other children died before that date. Richard married Mary THOMAS a widower in 1716 at St Andrew's, Holborn, Middlesex. (Vicar General Marriage Licence Allegations)

Second Generation

William OLLIER was baptised in December 1637 at St Wilfred's Davenham Cheshire.(PR's) He died in 1705. William married Elizabeth BUCKLEY on the 19th May 1666 at St Michael & All Angel's, Middlewich, Cheshire. (BT's). Note: He left a surviving will. Note baptism: Recorded in the parish register as William the son of Michael OLEHEYRE.

Third Generation

Michael OLLIER married Alice HOLLAND on the 26th June 1627 at Over, Cheshire. To date no record of his birth / baptism has been found, Micheal died in 1681 and was buried at St. Chads, Over, Cheshire. Note: He was alive in 1660 & 1664 as per Hearth & Poll Tax Records for Northwich Hundred with his wife Alice (Ales) His surname is recorded as OLEHEYRE (Middlewich Bishops Transcripts) at the baptism of his son William. Alice HOLLAND died at Stanthorne, Cheshire. and was buried on the 31st January 1684 at St Wilfred's, Davenham, Cheshire. (PR's). Burial note: From the Davenham Parish Register, Buried, Alice OLLIER of Stanthorne, 31st January 1684.

Fourth Generation

Johannes ALLOHEIRE (OLLIER?) was baptised on the 8th August 1579 in St Wilfred's, Davenham, Cheshire. (PR' s). It is not known to date who he married. Baptism note: Recorded in the Davenham Parish Register as Johannes the son of William ALLOHEIRE. Note: It is most likley that Johannes is the farther of both John (mentioned elseware on this site) & Michael OLLIER. Unfortunately some of the early parts of the Parish Register are either missing or totaly unreadable.

Fifth Generation

William (Wyllum) ALLOHEIRE (HOLOWHEAR) no record of his birth/baptism has been found to date, he was buried on the 10th October 1611 at St Wilfred's, Davenham, Cheshire. (PR' s). He married Elizabeth TAYLYOR on the 17th February 1570 at Macclesfield, Cheshire. (PR' s). Note: William ALLOHEIRE (HOLOWHEAR) is the earliest person found to date who is probably one of our OLLIER ancestor's, unfortunatley due to the fact that some of the early parts of the Davenham Parish Registers are missing or unreadable we cannot say for sure, however it is most probable that William ALLOHEIRE & William HOLOWHEAR are one of the same. Burial note: Recorded in the Davenham Parish Register as William ALLOHEIRE. Elizabeth TAYLYOR was buried on the 15th June 1586 at St Wilfred's, Davenham, Cheshire. (PR's). Burial note: Recorded in the Davenham Parish Register as Elizabeth, wife of William ALLOHEIRE. Note: From the records of the Prestbury Parish Registers: Weddynges 1570. Macclesfelde. Wyllum HOLOWHEAR & Elizabeth TAYLYOR. XVij Februarij. (as transcribed)
