Once upon a time long ago around 1690 in a land far away called Ulster, Ireland a boy was born. His mother, Mary named him, PETER.
Peter's father, Thomas King wanted a better life. Hearing he could have this in America, the family soon set off.
When the family arrived in America, they found themselves in a land called Virginia and an area known as New Kent
Being good Protestant parents Thomas and Mary soon had Peter and his sister, Mary christened at St. Peter's church in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent Co., Virginia.
The King family settled in, multiplied, and spread throughout the land. They were hard working, brave, and many generations served in the defense of their new homeland.
However, the Kings were apparently limited in imagination when it came to naming their children. They used the same names over and over and OVER!
I'll bet if some one walked into a family reunion and asked,"anyone here named Peter?" half the men would stand up. The same holds true for the women named, Mary.
Stay with me and we will explore many descendants of this King family. Of course it goes without saying any help/information would be greatly appreciated...................
