"Marcus A. Cupp (Kopp) was born in Rockingham County, Va., in 1811. When a young man he went to Allen County, Ohio, where he married Elizabeth Brower. She was a member of a prominent Dunker family. This no doubt explains why he changed membership from the Lutheran, to the Dunker, church. He moved to Western Missouri, but after a few years he came to Wabash County Indiana, where he spent the rest of his life. He died at the ripe old age of 95." p. 3
