Welcome to my collection of family history and treasures. This has been in the works for quite a long time. I officially started researching parts of my family when I first went off to college back in 1978. Unofficially, I have always been interested in the family history. And I'll be honest, it is quite addictive! Every time you find a tidbit, it drives you crazy until you can find out more. I thank the family members who have put up with me and all of my questions and repeated visits over the years.

As a child, I always wished that I had belonged to a large family. As many of you know, I only have two siblings--which does not make for a very large family! By the time I was a teenager, I realized just how many brothers and sisters my Grandmother (Stepaniak line) had (she is one of ten children) and come to find out that her father was one of sixteen children. And his father, Walenty Szczepaniak (our immigrant ancestor), was one of at least 4 children. And that is just one branch of my family (and they all came to America)! What more could I ask for?
