CelestialQueen

Celestial Queen
Ship:843 Tons
Captain: William Watt

Sailed London 26th April 1872 - arrived Auckland 30th July 1872

Captain William Watt, in his first command, the ship Celestial Queen, made seven successful voyages from 1868 until 1875, and was then given command of the fine ship Lady Jocelyn. He died at Edniburgh many years ago. Nothing of an eventful nature occurred during the years Captain Watt, who was a brother-in-law to Captain Todd, ran the Celestial Queen, a fine comfortable ship of 843 tons. She made just average passages to the several ports she visited, but never accomplished any sensational runs.
