William INNES: WILLIAM INNES born 1832, Aberchirder, Parish of Marnoch, Banffshire. Brother of PETER INNES (see "David G Fleming 1863). Although trained as a carpenter he farmed at Elgin near Ashburton soon after arriving. He moved to another farm at Normanby near Hawera but died shortly after in 1894 unmarried.
