Will of Adam Huffman

From the office of Earl S. Keim, II Office of the Register of Wills and Clerk of the Orphans Court Westmoreland Co. Pennsylvania

Will of Adam Huffman (father of Mary Huffman (Hoffman) wife of Thomas Hamilton) No. 12 of 1866 ] In the name of God Amen. Know all men by Will of ] these present that I Adam Huffman Senior of the Adam Huffman Sr ] Township of Franklin, County of Westmoreland and 2602 ] State of Pennsylvania being in good health and of sound mind and of disposing memory. do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made. First my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my Executors hereinafter named, be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by them be found conveniant, as to my Worldly Estate and all property real personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed, or which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease, I order and direct that it be by my Executors hereinafter named Sold and converted into money, as soon as the same can be conveniantly done after my decease and my Executors having made sale of my real Estate wiz: the Farm on which I now reside in Franklin Township County and State aforesaid and having received the amount of the proceeds of sale of said Farm together with all monies accruing to my Estate, from the disposition of properties above mentioned, I order and direct that the same be disposed of in the following manner namely,

Item First, I give and bequeath to my son Adam Huffman one dollar, Item Second, I give and bequeath to my son Henry Huffman one dollar, Item Third, I give and bequeath to the heirs of my daughter Isabella Wipple one dollar, Item Fourth I give and bequeath to the heirs of my daughter Elizabeth McCormick one dollar. Item Fifth, I give and bequeath to my daughter Rebecca Miller one hundred dollars. Item Sixth, I give and bequeath to my remaining three children, namely , My son James Huffman, My daughter Mary Hamilton and my daughter Susanna Harvey the entire residue of my estate to be divided equally among them share and share alike, Excepting I direct that my son James Huffman shall receive One Hundred dollars more than each of the others, wiz: Than Mary Hamilton and Susanna Harvey.

And lastly I do nominate and appoint my son James Huffman of Salem Boro and John W. Riddle of Franklin Township, Westmoreland County, Penna. to be my executors of this my last Will and Testament; In testamony whereof I Adam Huffman Senior have to this my last Will and Testament Subscribed my name and affixed my seal this second day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Five.
