These are the surnames.  Locations are where they originated; but, they all ended up in the Mon Valley with no direct ancestor ever leaving PA.with the exception of William Moller who went to Ohio in his later life.  His daughter, my 4 x g,grandmother Elizabeth Moller, settled in Washington Co. and m. James Bedall (Beadle). The Mayhorn is a big ? as a possible surname for a Hannah b. 1813, who married John Worrell b. 1811

Hi, Everyone,
My search in the Mon Valley area, including both Washington and Fayette Counties -- don't know about any other ones, though -- is for information on the following names, most difficult first:

Ruth SMITH CROW -- 21 Sep 1804 - 22 Jul 1881.
She married William CROW sometime after 1834 when William's first wife died.  I need to know what SMITH family she came from.  She's buried in a SMITH plot in Howe cemetery.  Also need a wedding date.

Jane JOHNSON CROW -- 1787 - 19 Feb 1834.  Parents were James
JOHNSTON/JOHNSON and Sidney ?.
She had siblings Adam, Alexander, Catherine, James, Mary, and one born either in 1797 or 1798.  It is listed as an "unborn child" in James JOHNSTON's will in Washington County.

Sidney ? JOHNSTON/JOHNSON -- ? - 17 May 1840, age 85.  She appears in the 1800 census, in the same place in 1810 but with the name "NIXON", back to JOHNSON for 1820, ? 1830, and in the Fayette County census of 1840 (must have been taken before she died).  I'm at a total loss for
her.

BAGLIN -- any info in Washington County, please.

OGIER -- John Sarchet OGIER's death location.

CHALFANT and CROW -- I have a great deal of information on these families except for the spouses of William CROW mentioned above.

Any help on anyone connected to these lines would be greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,  Cindy

Hi all,
Am brand new to this list.

Searching for Finney, Kunkle/Kunkel, Dierstein/Deerstein and Haberman. Some of these names are on the Lutheran Church listing for Dravosburg. Christian Dierstein was my gggrandfather. Believe his wife's name was Mary. Their daughter, Catherine, was my ggrandmother. She married Frederick Wilhelm Haberman(n) April 2, 1866. She died in 1884 and FWH subsequently married a widow, Dorothea Finney, born Kunkle. With this second marriage FWH became owner of some farm land in the Mon Valley. Not sure if land was originally owned by Kunkle or Finney.

The Mon Valley maps of the era show Finneys, Diersteins and Kunkles, but haven't found Habermans.

This website has great potential. Keep up the good work.
