ABBOTT,  SIDNEY A.  Allenport, Pa.  Born April 10, 1895. Son of Horace and N.
Abbott, Allenport.  Entered service July 2 1917  Assigned to Camps Sherman and Mills.
Attached to Co. A. 13th Infantry,  33rd Division. Embarked for overseas Sept. 12, 1917.
Returned July 10 1919.  Saw service at Meuse-Argonne and St. Mihiel.  Honorably
discharged July 13, 1919.  Held rank of Corporal.

BALMER, CHARLES F., Allenport Pa.  Born Aug. 2. 1898.  Son of Edward and I.
Balmer, Allenport, Pa. Entered service Aug. 28. 1918.  Assigned to Camps Lee and
Stuart. Attached to 111th Infantry.  Embarked for overseas Nov. 10, 1918. Returned
Nov. 13, 1919.  Honorably discharged Dec.. 21, 1919.

BARNUM. DAVID R.. Allenport. Pa, Born Feb. 3, 1894.  Son of A. P. and  Sophia
Barnum, Allenport. Pa. Entered service. Mar. 12, 1918.  Assigned to Camp Sherman.
Attached to Base No. 1, Medical Corps.  Honorably discharged Sept. 1. 1919.

CRAWFORD.  CLIFFORD,  Allenport, Pa. Born July 2, 1899. Son of Benjamin F. and
Julia A. Crawford, Allenport, Pa.  Entered service Oct. 1, 1918,  Assigned to University
of Pittsburgh.  Attached to Co., E. 2nd Students Army Training Corps. Honorably
discharged Dec. 12. 1918.

CROWTHERS. THOMAS J., Allenport, Pa.  Born Mar. 9, 1899.  Son of T. A. and Ida
A. Crowthers. Allenport, Pa.  Entered service July 30. 1918, Assigned to Paris Island.
Attached to Marine Corps. U. S. S. Florida,  Still in service at Fort Lime, Colorado.  Held
rank of First-class Private.

DOWNER, ARTHUR P., Allenport, Pa.  Born Jan. 16. 1891.  Son of J. E. and Mary M.
Downer, Allenport, Pa.  Entered service Dec. 13. 1917. Assigned to Camps Sherman and
Mills. Attached to Co. A. 108th Ammunition Train, 32nd Division.  Embarked for
overseas June 13, 1918.  Returned April 27, 1919.  Served at Bois de la Grande,
Montaigne, Verdun, Argonne Forest, Tulli and St. Mihiel and Army of Occupation.
Honorably discharged May 8, 1919.  Held rank of Cook.

DOWNER. JAMES W., Allenport, Pa.  Born April 10, 1894.  Son of Joseph E. and Mary
E. Downer. Allenport, Pa.  Entered service Sept. 1917.  Assigned to Camp Sherman.
Attached to Co. L, 330th Infantry.  Still in service Jan. 21, 1920.

DOWNER. WILLIAM H.,  Allenport, Pa.  Born July 26, 1888.  Son of Joseph Downer.
Allenport, Pa.  Entered service May 17, 1918.  Assigned to Camp Severe and Mills.
Attached to Construction Co., 14th Air Service Corps.  Embarked for overseas in Aug.
1918.  Returned in Dec. 1918.  Honorably discharged Dec. 21. 1918.

FRANTZ,  JOHN,  Allenport, Pa.  Born Jan. 18, 1881.   Son of I. B. and Mary Frantz,
Allenport, Pa.  Entered service in May 1917.  Assigned to Camp Humphrey and Upton.
Attached to Co. C. 540th Engineers. Embarked for overseas in Oct. 1918. Returned in
June 1919.  Honorably discharged in June 1919. Held rank of Sergeant.

FURNIER, JOSEPH W., Allenport, Pa.  Born Dec. 26, 1891.  Son of William Fumier,
Allenport, Pa.  Entered service in Sept. 1918. Assigned to Camp Lee.  Attached to 315th
Artillery.  Embarked for overseas in Oct. 1918,  Returned in June 1919. Honorably
discharged in June 1919.

HILL, SAMUEL V., Allenport, Pa.  Born Nov. 15, 1892.  Son of S. M. and E. Hill,
Allenport. Pa.  Entered service Dec. 13, 1917.  Assigned to Camps Sherman and Mills.
Attached to Battery A. 324th Field Artillery, 52nd Division. Embarked for overseas June
12, 1918.  Returned May 22, 1919. Saw service at Meuse-Argonne and Verdun.
Honorably discharged June 5, 1919.  Held rank of First-class Private.          -

JONES, CHARLES, Allenport, Pa.  Born Jan. 6, ___.  Son of Walter and Elizabeth
Jones, Allenport, Pa.  Entered service Aug. __, 1917.  Assigned to Kelley Field, Fort
Omaha and Camp Morrison.  Attached to 102nd Co., Air Service.  Embarked for
overseas in June 1918.  Returned May 3, 1919.  Honorably discharged May 11, 1919.
Held rank of Sergeant.

MONRO,  R.  W.,  Allenport  Pa.  Born Nov. 10, 1888.  Son of J. K. and N. T. Munro,
Oakmont. Pa.  Entered service July 24. 1915. Assigned to Niagara on the Lake.
Bramshoot. Eng. and Schorn Cliffe. Eng.. Attached to 3rd Co.. 2nd Canadian Machine
Guts Corps, 2nd Canadian Division. Embarked for overseas Oct. 15, 1915. Returned Oct.
21, 1919.  Saw service at Ypres, Coturcelette. Bully Graney. Vimy B ridge, Lens
Passchendacle. Arras Amiens and Caix.  Received Military  Medal.   Honorably
dicharged Nov. 4, 1919.  Held rank of Captain.

MYRTLE , WILLIAM,  Allenport, Pa.  Born Oct  31,  1894.  Son of Thomas and Nancy
Myrtle, Allenport, Pa.  Entered service Oct. 6, 1917.  Assigned  to  Camps  Sherman,
Pike, Greene and Devens.   Attached to Co. D, 27th Battalion, U S. Guards. Honorably
discharged  Dec. 16, 1918. Held rank of First-class Private.

NICHOLAS, GRIFFITH S., Allenport, Pa.  Born June 3, 1890.  Son of David and Mary
Nicholas, Allenport, Pa.  Entered service in Sent. 1918,  Assigned to Camp Gettysburg.
Attached to 903rd Tank Corps.  Embarked for overseas in Oct. 1918. Returned in June
1919.  Honorably discharged in June 1919.  Held rank of Sergeant.

O'NEIL, NICK P., Allenport, Pa. Born Nov. 30, 1898.  Son of James and Viola O'Nell,
Allenport, Pa. Entered service Sept. 19, 1917. Assigned to Great Lakes Training Station. Attached to Navy. U. S. S. Cleveland. Made six trips overseas.  Honorably discharged in Aug. 1919.  Held rank of Second Gunners Mate.

RILEY, ELMER, Allenport,  Pa.  Born Jan. 5, 1896.   Son of A. and Mary Riley,
Allenport, Pa.  Entered service May 26, 1918.  Assigned to Camps Gordon and Sherman.
Attached to 38th Co. 157th Depot Brigade, Infantry.  Honorably discharged Jan. 20,
1919. Held rank of Baker.

SLOAM, SAMUEL, Allenport, Pa.  Born June 18, 1878.  Parents deceased.  Entered
service Sept. 21, 1917. Assigned to Camp Sherman. Attached to Co. L, 330th Infantry,
83rd Division. Embarked for overseas May 8, 1918. Returned Feb. 12, 1919.
Honorably discharged Feb. 17, 1919. Held rank of Corporal.

TAYOR, THOMAS P., Allenport, Pa.  Born Sept. 5, 1896.  Son of William and Jessie
Tayor,  Monesson, Pa.  Entered service April 10, 1918.  Assigned to Columbus Barracks
and Panama Canal. Attached to 12th Cavalry. Embarked for overseas in Nov. 1918.
Returned in June 1919. Honorably discharged in June 1919.
