ROSCOE in the WORLD WAR

ALLEN. JABIS, Church St. Roscoe, Pa.  Born May 30th 1859.  Parents deceased.
Entered service in Dec. 1917.  Assigned to Camp Sherman and Mills.  Attached to
Battery S.  224th Heavy Field Artillery 32nd Division. Embarked for overseas in June
1918, returned in June 1919.  Saw service at Meuse-Argonne and St. Mihiel.  Honorably
discharged in  June 1919.

ALLEN. THOMAS, Church St. Roscoe, Pa.  Born in Feb. 1896.  Parents deceased.
Entered service in May 1918.  Assigned to Camp Humphreys.   Attached to the Engineers
Honorably discharged in Dec. 1919 with rank of Cook.

BELL, ARTHUR, Railroad St.. Roscoe, Pa.  Born July 30, 1896.  Son of Charles Bell of
R. R. St., Roscoe. Pa.  Entered service in Sept., 1918. Assigned to Camps Greenleaf and
Sherman and Fort Brancanes.  Attached to Medical Corps, later transferred to Coast
Artillery.  Honorably discharged Jan. 6,1919.

DAVIS, FREDERICK H  Wayne St., Roscoe, Pa. Born April 19, 1897.  Son of Mr. D.
A. Davis of Wayne St., Roscoc, Pa.  Entered service Sept. 4, 1918.  Assigned to Camp
Forrest. Attached to 3rd Provisional Recruit, Engineers.  Honorably discharged Dec. 20,
1918.

DIXON, ROBERT CLYDE, Good St., Roscoe, Pa.  Born Dec, 30th 1892. Son of John
Dixon of Good St., Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service Dec. 12, 1917.  Assigned to Camp J. E.
Johnsson and Newport News.  Attached to Quartermaster Corps.  Embarked for overseas
in June 1918. Returned June 12, 1919.  Held rank of Corporal. Feb. 1920, still in
Hospital.

DIXON. WILLIAM E., Good St., Roscoe, Pa.  Born Aug. 6, 1887. Son of Mr. John
Dixon of Good St., Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service in Sept, 1917.  Assigned to Camps
Sherman and Grant.  Attached to Company E, 15th Engineers. Embarked for overseas in
Dec. 1917. Returned in June 1919.  Cited for bravery by French Government and
President Clemenceau. Honorably discharged in June 1919, with rank of Sergeant.

DUVALL. L. G., Wayne St., Roscoe, Pa.  Born June 7, 1897.   Son of Mrs. Ida Duvall
of Wayne St., Roscoe. Pa.  Entered service in May 1917.  Assigned to Misbor. Tex., Fort
Oglethorpe, Camp McArthur and Camp McClellan.  Attached to Headquarters Company,
80th Field Artillery Band,  7th Division.  Embarked for overseas in Aug. 1918.  Returned
in June 1919.  Honorably discharged in June 1919.

ERMLICH, EDWARD H., Box 134 Roscoe, Pa.  Born Dec.24. 1892.  Son of Edward
H. Sr. and Annie A. Ermlich of Box 134 Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service May 28, 1918.
Assigned to Camp Humphreys.  Attached to Company F, 28th Engineers.  Embarked for
overseas Sept. 1, 1918.  Returned July 6, 1919.  With 28th Engineers in all battles and
engagements overseas. Received  Regimental  Citations  for bravery.  Honorably
discharged in July, 1919.

GEALY, CLARENCE J., Roscoe, Pa.  Born Oct. 28, 1892.  Son of William and Nancy
Gealy of Grove City. Pa.  Entered service June 12. 1918.  Assigned to Camps Greenleaf
and Denver. Attached to Medical Dept.  Honorably discharged July 24, 1919 with rank of
Corporal.

GOLLICK, JERRY M., Box 183 Roscoe, Pa.  Born Aug.28, 1891. Son of Mrs. Drusilla
Gollick of Box 183 Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service Sept. 25, 1918.   Assigned to Camps
Greenleaf and Merritt.  Attached to Medical Department Hospital No.87.  Embarked for
overseas Nov. 12, 1918.  Returned June 21, 1919.  Sailed overseas day after Armistice
was signed.  While overseas stationed at Toul. Medical Headquarters.  Honorably
discharged in June 1919.

HALL. GEORGE PAUL, Wayne St., Roscoe, Pa.  Born Aug. 27, 1886.  Son of Mrs.
Elizabeth Hall of Wayne St., Roscoe. Pa.  Entered service in May 1917.  Assigned to
Great Lakes Training Station and Brooklyn Navy Yard.  Attached to U. S. Navy on
board the U. S. S. Capfinistiere.  Made several trips overseas.  Honorably discharged in
Fall of 1919.

JACKSON, ALBERT J.  Born Mar. 12, 1897. Son of Richard and Frances G. Jackson of
Box 191, Roscoe. Pa.  Entered service April 1. 1918.  Assigned to Camp Lee.  Attached
to Company A, 315th Light Field Artillery.   Embarked for overseas in June 1918.
Returned Jan. 12. 1919.  With 315th Artillery in all battles and engagements until
wounded and gassed  Sept. 26, 1918 in Argonne. Feb.1920, still in Walter Reed Hospital
from effects of same. Received Regimental Citations for bravery.

JACKSON, JOHN E., Pittsburgh, Pa.  Born April 11, 1897.  Son of John J. and Isabella
Jackson of Lind St., Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service Feb. 25, 1918.  Assigned to Camp
Sherman. Attached to Camp Adjutant Detachment, Personal Section.  In Personal Section
during time in service. sent to several different camps for information.  Honorably
discharged June 17, 1919 with rank of Regimental Sergeant Major.

JACKSON, ROBERT, Box 191, Roscoe, Pa.  Born Nov. 26, 1894.  Son of Richard and
Frances G. Jackson of Box 191, Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service May 28, 1918. Assigned to
Camp Humphreys. Attached to Company D., 28th Engineers.  Embarked for overseas
June 28, 1918.  Returned Sept. 26, 1919. With 28th Engineers in all battles and
engagements overseas.  Received Regimental Citations for bravery.  Honorably
discharged Oct. 5. 1919.

KLINE, OTTO F. F., Good St., Roscoe, Pa.  Born Feb. 26, 1895.  Son of Julius and
Lena Kline of Good St., Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service May 26, 1918.  Assigned to
Woodbridge, Va. Attached to Company F., 28th Engineers.   Embarked for overseas in
Sept. 1918.  Returned July 10. 1919. Honorably discharged in July 1919.

KLINE, WILLIAM J. C., Good St., Roscoe, Pa.  Born July 5,1893.  Son of Julius and
Lena Kline of Good St., Roscoe, Pa.   Entered service in Sept. 1917.  Assigned to Camp
Sherman and Chickamauga Park, Ga.  Attached to Company H., 6th Infantry, 5th
Division.  Embarked for overseas in April 1918,  Returned in Sept. 1919.  Saw service at
Meuse-Argonne and Chateau Thierry.   Held rank of Corporal. Wounded in action,
Feb.1920, still in Hospital at Carlisle. Pa.

OKORN, LAWRENCE J.. Good St.. Roscoe, Pa. Born in Dec, 1895. Son of Mr. John
Okorn of Good St., Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service Sept. 21, 1917.  Assigned to Camps
Sherman and Mills.  Attached to Company L, 9th Infantry, 2nd Division. Embarked for
overseas in Mar. 1918 Returned in Aug. 1919.  Saw service at Verdun, Chateau Thierry,
Soissons, St. Mihiel, Champagne   and   Meuse-Argonne. Wounded in action at
Meuse-Argonne,  Nov. 4, 1918, wounded in leg, foot and arm, in Hospital for several
months. Honorably discharged Aug, 13, 1919.

OTTO, JOHN EDWARD Jr.. Roscoe, Pa.  Born Feb. 20. 1897.  Son of Mr. John B. Otto
of Roscoe. Pa. Entered service in Sept. 1918. Assigned to  Camp  Greenleaf,   Attached
to Medical Corps. Honorably discharged Jan. 24, 1919, with rank of Cook.

PARKINS,  FRANK,  Roscoe. Pa. Born Jan. 10, 1896. Son of Mr. John Parkins of
Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service Sept. 5, 1918.  Assigned to Cape May, Philidelphia Pa, and
New York. Attached to U. S. Navy.  Honorably discharged in June 1919.

PARKINS, RUSSELL, Roscoe, Pa. Born Aug. 24, 1893. Son of Mr. John Parkins of
Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service in April 1918. Assigned to Camp Lee, Va. Attached to
Military Police. Embarked  for overseas in May 1918. returned in June 1919.  Honorably
discharged in June 1919.

PATRICK, JOSEPH FRED, Wayne St., Roscoe. Pa.  Born Feb. 2, 1895. Son of Mr.
Nicholas Patrick of Wayne St., Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service in May 1918.  Assigned to
Camp Humphreys. Attached to Company H. Engineers.   Honorably  discharged  in June
1918.

SCHMID,  EDWARD,  Underwood St., Roscoe, Pa.  Born Jan. 9, 1892. Son of Mr.
Edward Schmid of Underwood St.. Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service in April 1918. Assigned
to Camp Lee.  Attached to Company L. 319th Infantry, 80th Division.  Embarked for
overseas May 18, 1918.  Returned June 2, 1919.  Saw service at St. Mihiel,
Mouse-Argonne and in Artois Sector.  Honorably discharged June 12, 1919. with rank of
First-class Private.

SCHMID, HENRY J., Roscoe, Pa.  Born April 7, 1888. Son of Alois and Mary Schmid,
of Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service Oct. 7, 1917.  Assigned to Camp Lee and Camp
Hancock.  Attached to Company M, 18th and 111th Infantry, 28th Division.  Embarked
for overseas May 3, 1918. Returned Dec. 30, 1918.  Saw service at St. Mihiel, Aisne.
Argonne and St. Mihiel.  Wounded by rifle fire (sniper) at Chateau Thierry Aug. 11,
1918. In Hospital from effects of same.  Received Regimental and Divisional Citations for
bravery.  Honorably discharged Feb. 9, 1919 with rank of Corporal.

SCHMID, JOHN, Box 104, Roscoe. Pa.  Born Feb. 22. 1894.  Son of Henry and Mary
Schmid of Box 104 Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service Dec. 14, 1917.  Assigned to Camps
Sherman and Mills. Attached to Supply Company, Field Artillery. transferred to Medical
Department.  Embarked for overseas June 11, 1919. Returned May 22, 1919.  Saw
service at Meuse-Argonne and North of Verdun.  With Army of Occupation in Germany.
Honorably discharged June 5, 1919.

SCHMID, JOSEPH H., Roscoe, Pa.  Born Feb. 25. 1893. Son of Alois and Mary Schmid
of Roscoe. Pa. Entered service Oct. 6, 1917.  Assigned to Camps Sherman and Pike.
Attached to Companies L and G. 341st and 51st Infantry, 3rd and 6th Divisions, also with
Company H,  30th Infantry. Embarked for overseas June 6, 1918.  Returned June 12,
1919. Saw service at Marne Vosges Sector. Mouse-Argonne Offensive. With Army of
Occupation in Germany.  Wounded by shrapnel in battle of Marne. Honorably discharged
June 18, 1919.

SCHMID, LOUIS, Underwood St., Roscoe, Pa.  Born Aug. 18, 1896.  Son of Edward
Schmid of Underwood St., Roscoe, Pa.  Entered service April 1, 1918. Assigned to Camp
Lee.  Attached to 8th Company, 2nd Battalion, 155th Depot Brigade, Infantry.
Honorably discharged Dec. 16, 1918.

SCHOCH, EMIL, Wayne St., Roscoe, Pa.  Born Mar: 6, 1894.  Son of Mrs. Hannah
Schoch of Wayne St., Roscoe, Pa. Entered service Sept. 21, 1917.  Assigned to Camp
Sherman. Attached to Company L. 330th Infantry, 83rd Division.  Embarked for overseas
June 12, 1918. Returned Jan. 29, 1919.  Honorably discharged Mar. 5, 1919  with rank of
Corporal.

STANKOS, JOSEPH, Roscoe, Pa. Born in 1897. Son of Charles Stankos of Roscoe, Pa.
Entered service Sept. 21, 1917.  Assigned to Camps Lee and Gordon. Attached to
Company B, 307th Engineers, 82nd Division. Embarked for overseas May 19, 1918.
Returned May 9, 1919.  With 307th Engineers in all battles and engagements during the
war. With Army of Occupation in Germany.  Honorably discharged May 25, 1919, with
rank of Bugler.

STEWART, CHARLES M., Roscoe, Pa.  Born June 16, 1897.  Son of Samuel and
Alberta Stewart, Railroad St., Roscoe, Pa. Entered service Sept. 4, 1918. Assigned to
Camp Forest.  Attached to 10th Casual Co., Engineers. Honorably discharged Dec. 21,
1918.
