THE MAUDLIN LINE MAUDLIN LINE - FIRST GENERATION The earliest Maudlin in my line appears in Perquimans Co. NC. I find there were two families there; an Edmond and an Ezekiel. My thought is they may be brothers, but no proof yet. My line is through Ezekiel. EZEKIEL MAUDLIN/MODLIN Born: before 1670 Died: 16 Mar 1705/6 in Perquimans Co. NC Parents: Unknown Married: Hannah Castleton? (unsure of her surname). She was b. 1679 and d. in Jul 1752 in Perquimans Co. NC. Note: I have seen many sites claiming he wed a Hannah Nicholson, including IGI, but I definitely believe this to be WRONG. Hannah Nicholson had two other husbands at the time Ezekiel Maudlin's children were born. In July 1705, Ezekiel and wife Hannah are assigned property in Perquimans, and on July 9, 1706, Hannah is petitioned as next of kin for administration of the estate of Ezekiel, and later she produced an inventory.
