Married: Frances ______ Thomas first bought land in Prince George County MD on 26 Aug 1695, a 200 acre tract named "Strife" on the west side of he Patuxant River (Liber. A Folio 26-28). To this he added an 18 acre tract called "Something" on 15 Jun 1703 (Patent Liber CD Folio 88). Called "Planter of Clavert Co." Thomas contributed a "goodly sum" of tobacco for his share of the building of the Parish Church of St. Barnabas at Leeland and also provided accomodations for the bricklayers working on the building. He d. 1717 Prince George Co MD and is probably buried jQueen Anne Parish. On 23 May 1722, Frances sold the house and lot in Queen Anne town, left to her in her husbands will. We connect through their daughter: 1. Rachel Wells b. 1720 (see below) Married 2nd: Margaret Swanson 4-11-1721 Ann Arundel Co MD at All Hallows Episcopal Church in Davidsonville. However, in 1745 she converted to the Quaker religion. In 1750 Joseph and Margaret sold 40 acres of "Boyling Springs" on the Tuscorrah Creek that falls into ye Pontomac near the mouth of Monocacy (Deed in Hall of Records, MD). They moved to Orange Co. NC. They were parents of: 2. Joseph Wells b. 7-30-1729, d. 9-30-1804 in Orange Co NC. He m. Charity Carrington May 1750. She d. Orange Co NC 2-26-1803. NC Parents: Joseph Wells - Rachel _____ Married: 1737 to John Wright. He was b. 4 Nov 1716 in Chester Co PA, and d. 1790 in Newberry Co SC.
