The Old St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery was
located in Section. 4, Twp. 4, Range 23, Ridgefield the
south edge of the Huron River bank. ( RT # 99, South of Monroeville,
OH) The first burial was in 1863 and burials may have been made through
1900, although the new New St. Joseph Cemetery land was purchased
in 1895. Unfortunately, all tombstones have been removed from
the site, and a single monument marks the spot of the cemetery. Some
Graves have been move to the New St. Joseph Cem.
