Millie Parrow Weber

1880-1948

Marie Emilie Parrow was born January 28, 1880 at Wild Rice, Dakota Territory. When she was still a little girl, her family moved to Marlow, SD, where she lived until she married Jacob “Jake” Weber of Havana, ND. Jacob was the son of Henry Weber, Jr. They were married on November 9, 1898.

Jacob Weber was born at Hammond, WI on November 11, 1873. He came with his parents to Havana at the age of 9. Jake operated a blacksmith shop at Havana nearly all his life, with the exception of 4 1/2 years when he lived on a homestead at Nowlin, SD. He worked in his shop up to the last 2 weeks of his life. He passed away at the Veblen, SD Hospital on May 7, 1944, after a week of illness after a heart attack. Millie died on October 18, 1948 at the age of 68 and is buried with Jake at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Havana.

Jake and Millie had four daughters, Myrtle Margaret , born February 12, 1901, Adeline Elizabeth on June 16, 1906, Edna Genevieve on November 12, 1909 and Doris Marie on January 16, 1919.

Myrtle was married to Charles Kartes and she died November 21,1991. Adeline was married to Ednor Lyons and after his death she married Harold Zehnder. Adeline died on January 25, 1990.

Edna was married to Ralph Renner and after his death she married George Baker. Edna died September 18, 1986. Doris was married to Albert Rurup and she died October 13, 1990.
