I recently took a trip to Pooleville (formally Elk) to get pictures and video of my past and present history. James T. and Rosa(Smith)Harris left
Hopkins
county Texas in 1890 crossing the Red River by ferry boat and settled in
(Elk)Indian Territory. They had 11 children and many grandchildren,including my grandmother,but that's another story.
