Thy hands are clasped upon thy breast We have kissed thy marble brow, And in our aching hearts we know We have no father now. Farewell, dear father, sweet thy rest, Weary with years and worn with pain Farewell, till in some happy place We shall behold thy face again. 'Tis ours to miss thee, all our years, And tender memories of thee keep, Thine in the Lord, to rest, for so He giveth his beloved sleep. Written by his daughter, Mrs. D. B. Dodson. Wilson, Robert Albert
Robert A. Wilson was born in Benton, Arkansas, October 21, 1900, and died November 26th, near Prospect School. He leaves a father, mother, four sisters and 2 brothers and many friends to mourn his loss. This was the first of Mr. Wilson's family to be called away by the death angel. We were sorry to see him leave us for he was one of the leading young men of our county, though we all have that debt to pay sooner or later. I am sorry to have him out of our school for he was very industrious, and good in all of his work. November 26th, when our favorite tears were shed, It was hard to see him sleep among the dead. Though in this sad, state we all at last must lie As this now is soon, will be you and I, Yet while we live, let us be true and just And this our motto be 'In God We Trust.' Though we proclaim, 'Well done my son, enter in my name.' Written by J F Land. [Benton Courier; December 2, 1915; page 4] Death Certificate | Obituary | Rootsweb WCP | Tombstone

Violet Wilson - The death angel visited the home of Mrs. Jim Wilson Friday, January 13, claiming for its very own her darling little daughter, Violet. She is survived by her mother, six sisters, three brothers, her father having gone on before. She was only three years, eight months, 21 days old. The little darling was laid to rest in Peeler Bend cemetery, Ashby Funeral Home having charge of the service. In a lone and silent graveyard, Where we met for one last prayer, For the soul that passed from midst to us, To sleep in rest and peace out there. How sad at life's dark hour When death angels bid her come To that land of joy and gladness, She has reached her heavenly home. A face we loved so dearly, A smile that was so sweet, She has vanished ever from us Now she rests on Jesus feet. Some glad morning we'll all gather home To a home so happy and fair, There sorrow can never befall us And death can not harm us up there. Is my prayer most sincere and true, May God be with you, dear loved ones And may a home await you in heaven In that land far over the blue. ----Written by a friend, Mildred Albright. hearts are bleeding, Drear the fireside now and lone; He, the best loved
and the dearest, Far away to heaven hath flown. No death can reach the souls
that sleep, They'll live again some day, Though loved ones o'er their bodies
weep, In heaven they shall stay. Sleep on from pain dear friend, Till the
night shall pass away, We shall meet some glad tomorrow Where shall dawn
a brighter day, when our journey is completed, And the Savior call us home,
Let us be prepared to meet him in that bright and happy home. Written by
