Esther was born c1830 at Upper Musquodoboit Harbour,
the daughter of James Farnell & Sarah Stewart.
She died Dec.21,1897 at Sheet Harbour.
Mary Ann Logan married "Granddaddy" Matt Boutilier
on Jan.3,1867 at Port Dufferin.
Mary was born Sept.13,1846 at Sheet Harbour.
She was the dau. of Robert Logan and Mary Maloney.
In the book "The Boutiliers of Mushaboom" by
James Humphreys and Rosemary (Boutilier) Power, it is said that "Granddaddy
Matt" was the first child of European ancestry to be born in Mushaboom....
The younger woman in the photo is her daughter, Effie Boutilier, who married
Burton Winters Oct. 28, 1896 at St. James, Port Dufferin. Effie Cordelia
Boutilier was born April 18, 1878 in Sheet Harbour and Baptized Sept 22,1878
at St. James, Port Dufferin.
Ada Boutilier was born July 4,1885 at Sheet Harbour
Passage.
She married John Howard Bradley on June 9,1903
at Spry Bay.
Ada was the daughter of "Granddaddy Matt" Boutilier
and Mary Ann Logan
and was a cousin to Lydia Mae Boutilier.
"Granddaddy Matt" was the son of John George
Boutilier and Mary Ann Josey.
Anna Matilda Boutilier was the daughter of James
Boutilier & Esther Taylor Farnell.
She was born May 11, 1862 at Mushaboom, and Baptized
Oct. 26, 1862.
She married Robert Martin on Sept. 21, 1886 at
Sheet Harbour;
and they had 4 children - Esther, Ada, Bessie
& Katie
Lydia Mae Boutilier, daughter of William Boutilier
and Caroline Hubley.
She was born in 1880. She never married. Lydia
was a cousin to Ada Boutilier.
Mary Cevilla Belle Boutilier, Born April 24, 1875
Mushaboom.
She married Simon Boutilier Jan 2,1894 at Mushaboom.
Her parents were George Henry Boutilier &
Mary Andrews
who married on Jan. 20,1874 at Mushaboom.
Simon Boutilier was born June 2,1871
and was the son of George Boutilier and Caroline
Amelia Farnell.
John Frederick Boutilier and Mary Melinda Henley
were married Jan. 24,1859 in Spry Bay.
John was born Dec.13,1834 at St. Margaret's Bay.
He was the son of George Frederick Boutilier
and Margaret Dauphinee.
Mary was the daughter of Thomas Henley....
Frank Boutilier was born Feb 4 1869 Mushaboom,
he married Marietta Lawlor on Aug.12 1897 at
Tangier by Rev, Adam Currie.
