SEARCHES FAMILY TREES MAILING LISTS MESSAGE BOARDS

Genealogy has always been one of my favourite subjects, and I've collected Family information which may interest like minded people. You may even find a link to your own family.

My research has become a consuming hobby. Inspiration for this was my newfound 'cousin' Judy EVANS, who has for 25 years, been researching my husband's WATERFIELD Family Branch. Judy's encouragement and most giving nature has helped make the job a pleasure.

My passion after my Family, is my Birth Country, Scotland, and my adopted Country, Australia, and you will find a page dedicated to each, along with a Wales page, the birth country of my husband Frank's ancestors.

In 1956 my parents decided  to emigrate, giving my brother and myself a better life. The move was heart wrenching for me to leave my beloved Grandmother, however as I grew older I understood that to live and grow up in this wonderful Country, was indeed special. My first nostalgic return  trip to Scotland was in 1983. A second visit in 1991 with my brother Steven and Australian born  sister  Karyn to attend the Wedding of Cousin Denise and Scott was a wonderful time for all. There is a strong desire to go again, and I hope to do this soon.

Helen's Family Research, is at varying stages, depending on which branch, and how much information was gleaned from living family members. As I am mainly a distance researcher, the availabilty of records an important factor. I have been steadily collecting Birth, Death, Marriage & any other Certificates or Documentation related to furthering the Tree. Since beginning this project, I have been amazed at the help offered by others. Now I will be only too pleased to share information in my possession.

The thing in life I hold most dear is my family. My husband Frank, works tirelessly to provide for us. Our daughter Sara an only child, along with her husband Jason presented us with three beautiful grandchildren. Liza Grace, Bridie Kate and Ned Charlie.

2003/2004 was a particularly harrowing time for all of us. In November 2003, my dear dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I cared for him from January 2004 until his death in August 2004. We all miss him terribly. We are comforted knowing that he is in a better place.

If you should connect with any family on these pages, I would be happy to put you in touch  so that 'cousins' may meet. In the coming months I hope to show the developing tree has borne new fruit.
Please come back to see my progress.
