Isaac PAVEY married Frances ADAMS, a sister of Bartholomew. The Isaac PAVEY family Bible, in the possession of Eli M. PAVEY of Mt. Auburn, Iowa, a grandson of Isaac by his second marriage, contains the following written by Isaac: "Isaac PAVEY and Franky ADAMS was married April the 20-1786."

Isaac and Frances moved to Caroline County, Maryland where three of their children were born. The family moved to Harrison County, Kentucky between 1789 and 1791. Frances died there possibly in childbirth with their 5th child, a daughter, Frances 'Franky' Pavey born 27 Dec 1795

Isaac married his second wife, Elizabeth Acman, in 1786 in Kentucky. Two more children were born there.

About 1805 he and his wife and family emigrated to Highland County, Ohio near Leesburg & settled on Lee’s Creek. In his log cabin he held regular sunday services and class meetings. Thus was the origin of Methodism in Highland County. He was the first person in Highland County authorized to solemnize marriages when he was granted a License to celebrate the right of Matrimony on 24 Oct 1808.

On Saturday, 18 MAY 2002, the Washington (DC) Post published an article (Pages J1 and J2) about Bridgeville. While I consider the article to be primarily a real estate promotional piece, it does contain some information about the history of Bridgeville that could be of interest to Pavey researchers.

According to a letter written on 19 May 1843 by his son, Charles, Isaac "died the day before yesterday (17 May 1843), from a fall from his horse on his way to town carrying some pieces of iron which scared his horse and caused him to run away and threw him on the ground with such force that it injured his head and neck so that he died in 2 1/2 hours he never spok nor knew anything from the time he fell."

In Isaac's obituary, James Quinn stated that Isaac had bought and paid for his land twice. According to the following deed he own two tracts of land that he bought from Samuel Pavey.
