Lazarus Noble of Portsmouth died 9 May 1727. Among the claims against his estate was one of Martha Noble, for nursing (N. H. State Papers, vol. 32, p. 310). (A mother or sister could make such a claim for services to a son or brother. However, a wife or daughter could not make a claim for a husband or father.

(It was suggested that this Lazarus Noble could have been Martha 'Peverly' Noble's brother. However, since it was the estate of Lazarus Noble who died in 1727, then he would have to have been Martha 'Peverly' Noble's son. = Marjorie Gisi)
