Vital records in Concord, NH have James' son Charles' death date as 3/18/1788 and so does Newington Families book. After seeing this, I thought that this Charles whom Elizabeth Johnson was placed incorrectly. However, after reviewing Mary (Nutter) Peavey's own hand written notes, it appears that there was an error made by records clerk. Mary has listed that her son Daniel died 3/18/1788 not Charles as listed on Death record. The age on this death record states 3 months old not 3 years old.
I feel strongly that it is possible that since clerk had incorrect name of child (who died) to begin with, it is also possible that clerk based birth date and age of death on the same incorrect child's vital records. (they had 13 children, error here would be easily done). (Lisa Braendle.) CENSUS 1830: Mary seems to have moved to Eastport, ME and is living with her son Charles based on the dates and location of the Census.

According to land records, Mary Peavey of Newington, widow, conveyed land and buildings, part of her father's estate, to Cyrus Frink
(Rockingham County Deed 210:18). = Lisa Braendle
