Lady Mary Pepperrell of Kittery, wid, enjoying a good measure of health, devises, 18 Jan 1779: Whereas I have liberated all of my slaves, I ratify the same, vis, Cicero, Zilpah & Dick, whereas Dick has since died leaving 2 chn, I give 20/to ea & to Cicero & Zilpah a good cow, 2 sheep & L6 sterling ea; to my dau Elizabeth Sparhawk 1/2 the moneys I have with me at my d, my silver snuffbox, having her fr?s picture thereon, my chaise, chariot & harness, my horses & wearing apparel to my g s Sir William Pepperrell, Bart, my diamond ring to my gdau, w of Mr. Jarvis, my gold watch; to Rev. Benjamin Stevens,
minister of the 1st Par in Kittery L10 sterling; to the deacons of the 1st Par, Kittery, L5 sterling for the use of the poor of the par; to Wid Mary Moody, Hannah Billing, Mary Fernald (who formerly lived with me) & Amy Tucker L5 sterling; furniture of every kind, left for my disposal by my husband, is to be eq div among chn of my dau Elizabeth Sparhawk; to my daughter Elizabeth Sparhawk the rem of my est include the house & appurts; const friends David Sewall & John Sparhawk, Esq., exors of will.
