Lorena Wedding of Interest:

Of interest to friends in the community is the news of the marriage of Miss Marie Hunter of Lorena to Mr. Howard Peavey of San Antonio. The wedding which was a surprise to the relatives and friends took place in the home of Mrs. John F. Hunter of Lorena. Rev. Mr. Ward of Lorena read the marriage lines, using the ring ceremony and after an informal reception and light refreshments, Mr. and Mrs. Peavey departed for their home in San Antonio where the groom is prominently connected with the Pierce Oil business.

The bride was married in her traveling suit of dark blue taffeta and wore a corsage bouquet of sweetheart buds. She is a charming young lady and has a host of friends whose good wishes follow her to her new home.

A party of automobile men, representing the various automobile firms here, met Mr. and Mrs. Howard D. Peavey at the train yesterday, on their return from Waco, where they were married the evening before. Automobiles were provided for the large delegation and a jazz band played a program of appropriate music. A shower of rice and old shoes also played an important part in the program and later Mr. and Mrs. Peavey were escorted by the large party of motorists to their home, 120 Aubrey street.

Mrs. Peavey before her marriage, was Miss Marie Hunter of Waco. Mr. Peavey is prominent in local automobile circles.
