The parish registers for Bolton Abbey begin in 1689. It is known that some Bishops' Transcripts exist for earlier years. I have recently been working on microfilms of these BTs at my local LDS Family History Centre, and have discovered several 'missing' years that are not recorded in any published transcript or on the IGI.

The years are - 1632, 1633, 1635, 1637, 1662 and 1692.

I have transcribed the entries exactly as they are written. It is advisable to check all possible variations of an ancestor's surname.
