POLK COUNTY, TEXAS
Submitted by Mary Harper

The mortality schedule lists deaths for the twelve months prior to the census--
from the 31st of May 1859 until the 1st of June 1860.  Being
reported on a mortality schedule for Polk County does not necessarily mean
the person died in Polk County. The death may have taken place while the
family was in another location before their move to Polk County.
