IMPRESSION - Before the war 300 people lived in Bergelau, now it is around
80. Most of the houses burned down, due to the shelling of Konitz in the
last year of the war. Today Czarnoszyce (Bergelau) is only a long village
street in the Bergelauer valley with a few houses on either side. and a
small, old, german cemetary. The remains of the former manor home are still
clearly recognizable. Bergelau was formerly Polish,
Aristocracy property,
and was populated between 1920 and 1924 with German settlers leaving the
Polish corridor. Previously, only few german families lived there. - J. Zylka.

EINDRUCK - Heute leben um die 80 Menschen in Czarnoszyce;
Familien. - J. ZYLKA.
