Information about the Synagogue in Schlochau
The location was on Kaldauer Street at the New Market.
In 1570 Schlochau was destroyed by a great fire. A new synagogue was
built shortly after 1570. This building, which was a plain framework
house, still existed in 1926. The Jewish community had:
491 members in 1885
222 members in 1913
167 members in 1930
125 members in 1933
