William and Katherine the next Generation

The date that William George Price and Katherine Murphey were married is unknown. William in those days was also known as Will or Willie. Katherine was known as Kate and Katie. They resided in Greenville, Ny in the early part of their marriage. Later on they moved into the house at 118 Jersey Ave. in Port Jervis, Ny where William and Martha owned a Carpet and Rug Weaving Shop and sold many mats, carpets and rugs to the towns people. Later on in life William and Kate made the Weaving Shop into Price's IceCream Parlor. People from all over the country would come to eat their icecream. They were famous for their banana icecream because nobody knew how to make it in those days without the bananas freezing. They had a secret recipe. It was said that William and Katherine were offered money from many companies for their icecream recipes but they continued to keep them a secret. Their recipes still exist today and have been put away for safe keeping.

John W. Price was born July 29, 1894 in Port Jervis, NY to William and Katherine. John also had a half sister named Rachel. Nothing to this date is known about Rachel. See Picture Below of John as a young boy.
