Pra'g, S. 27; Lieben, „Erster Wolschaner Friedhof“, S. 21 OR Nachod family above possible link to Horowitz-origin of Nachods, there appears not only Horowitz but also Horowitz Nachod or Nachod-Horowitz? at the turn of the 16. and 17. century. It is probable that some Horowitz (from the Prague family) went to Nachod and became the "court Jew" of the lord of Nachod. Later he came back to Prague and was called Horowitz-Nachod since this time. With the later generations, Nachod became a separate surname, however, both this families still lived together in (or near) the Pinkas-Schul. There are graves of Benet ( - 1742), Manis ( - 1707), ?Shalom or Moses? beside the old gravestones of the Horowitzs. Recently 3 or 4 generations back (likely ancestors Shalom) were found - source dr.
