Kelly Point Photo Album
This collection of photographs was taken on a beautiful October day in 2006. I was joined by my father Greg Coolen and cousins Nathaniel and Alexander Smith. For a short description of each photo simply hover your mouse over an image.
The Cemetery
The cemetery was the main motivation for the trip. I had seen pictures of the lone headstone on this web site, but felt compelled to see it in person. The headstone is in remarkable shape, even after almost two hundred years. After clearing some moss from the stone we could read the entire inscription.
Prospect Village & Surrounding Islands
This next set of photos display the view from the southern and western sides of Kelly Point. I found the view of Prospect Village especially interesting because it's a perspective of the village I don't often get to see.
Prospect Bay
This last set of photographs illustrate the tranquility of the eastern side of Kelly Point, which leads to Prospect Bay. The water was very calm (and warm) and provided for some nice photographs. Of special note is the last image which shows part of a rusty shipwreck that has been marooned for some time.
