Lucy W. M. Ackerman vs. Hamilton H. Ackerman for Divorce
Be it remembered that on this 16th day of October this cause came on to be heard and was heard before the Hon. W. W. Peppin?, Judge etc. at Springfield Tenn presiding upon the bill of complaint of Lucy W. M. Ackerman as pro confess. and proof in the cause, and it appearing to the Court from the proof and adduced in open court that the said Hamilton H. Ackerman had willfully& maliciously deserted the said Lucy without any reasonable cause, for more than two years previous to the filing of her Bill in this cause for divorce and had also otherwise abused and maltreated her. It is therefore adjudged and decreed by the Court that the bonds of matrimony heretofore existing between the parties Hamilton H. Ackerman and Lucy W. M. Ackerman be dissolved that they be divorced Avericule? Noulvimini?. And it further appearing to the Court from the proof in the proof in the cause that the said Lucy W. M. Ackerman is the mother of two surviving children to wit Frances D. Ackerman & Ann Elizabeth Ackerman, the issue of the marriage of the said parties Hamilton & Lucy which children are now have ever since lived with and been controlled and supported by their mother the said Lucy. It is further decreed by the Court that the said Lucy W. M. the mother of said children retain the custody and sole control of said children to the exclusion of the said Hamilton H. Ackerman. It is further decreed by the Court that Lucy W. M. Ackerman the Complianant in this cause

pay the cost of the same for which execution may issue and it is decreed
by the Court Lucy W. M. Ackerman have judgment & execution on against
the said Hamilton H. Ackerman for the same.
