Nelson B. Turner Guardian of John A. Turner & Enoch Simpson Exparte
Be it remembered that this cause came on for final hearing before the Hon.
Thomas Maney Judge & upon the 21st day of February 1844 upon the pleadings
and reports of Geo. F. Crocket Commissioner which is in the words following:
"Pursuant to the Interlocutory Decree I have proceeded to advertise
the sale of the slaves mentioned in said Decree agreeable to the direction
thereof and sold them at auction on the 21st day of April 1843 on a credit
till the 1st day of January 1844 and Nelson B. Turner became the purchaser
of the boy Wesley at $235 he being the highest and best bidder therefor and
also of the boy Isaac at the sum of $235 he being the highest and best bidder
therefor amounting to the sum of $470 for which I have taken his note due
as aforesaid with two good securities. And Enoch Simpson became the
purchaser of the man Jesse for the sum of $332.50 he being the highest and
best bidder for which I have taken his note due as aforesaid with good security
and Wm Johnson became the purchaser of the old woman Lucy at 23 cents for
which I have taken his note all of which notes are herewith filed. I
am of opinion that said slaves sold for a full and fair price. All
which is respectfully submitted 21 April 1843.

which being unexcepted to is ordered by the court to be in all things confirmed
and it is further ordered and decreed by the court that the title of the
slaves mentioned in the report be vested in the respective purchasers _____
to said report. It is by coment? ordered and decreed by the court that
the Clerk hand the notes on file for the purchase money over to Nelson B.
Turner and that he be charged with the one half thereof after paying the
costs which is to be paid out of the fund as Guardian of the said John A.
Turner and that he pay the other half over to the complainant Enoch
Simpson.
