Raysor to Mary Ann Walker Married on the 24th of November 1852, George Raysor to Isabella Johnson Births: Alfred Raysor was born November 22nd 1804 Barbara Mary Raysor was born January 8th, 1808 Michael Raysor son of Alfred & Barbara M. Raysor was born October 18, 1827 Alfred William Raysor was born March 24th 1829 George Raysor was born October 22nd 1830 Alfred William Raysor was born February 14th 1854 Thos Gro Raysor was born September 1th 1859 Ella Laura Raysor was born November 2th 1856 Isabella Raysor was born January 16th A.D. 1837 in Abberville District, S.C. Deaths: Michael son of Alfred & Barbara M. Raysor departed this life on Saturday morning 25th September 1830 about six-clock in the morning.  Aged 2 years, 11 months and 7 days. Alfred William Raysor departed this life 12th August 1856 about half past eight o'clock in the morning, aged 27 years, 4 months and 19 days. Alfred Raysor departed this life 27th day of November 1874 in the seventy first year of his age. George Raysor departed this life on the 29th day of August 1898, aged 68 years and 10 months. Died on Tuesday 23rd July 1833, Mrs. Eleanor Raysor. Isabella Raysor departed this life on the 7th day of May A.D. 1910 aged 73 years, 3 months and 21 days. Barbara M. Raysor departed this life March 25th 1888 age 80 years, 2 months and 17 days A. W. Raysor departed this life April 30, 1913 age 58 years, 2 months and 16 days. • George Raysor married Isabella Johnson
• Their daughter, Ella Laura Raysor married an Unknown Nalley.
• Ella Laura had a daughter Mary Elizabeth Nalley.
• Mary Elizabeth Nalley married William Theodore Colson.   They had 4 children:
• Daisy Beatrice Colson, Edith Theresa Colson, Mildred Lucille Colson &  William Frederick Colson

Mildred Lucille was my paternal grandmother, and Edith Theresa is the one who left me the Bible, as well as a photo of Isabella Johnson, Ella Laura Raysor, Mary Elizabeth Nalley, and Daisy Beatrice Colson.  It is only because of the note that she left with the photo that I was able to figure out that Ella Laura was Isabella Johnson's daughter.   Before that, I had been guessing that she was Alfred William Raysor’s (b. 1829) daughter.  The family bible is not very good at detailing how the families lay out.

I know that my Great Aunt Edith would have been able to give me a lot more information, but she passed away last fall, and the last time I had seen her, I was only about 12 years old.  I told her then that I was interested in the family history, and that is when she decided to leave me the Bible, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to spend any time on the history before her death. 

 Based on that, I believe that Barbara Mary’s Bible was passed down to George & Isabella Raysor.
