Some Lynch family notes

Various Lynch familes appear in South Carolina records … Solomon Lynch is named as the father of Esther Lynch, wife of David Cadle and my direct ancestor.

He appears in a land sale in 1791 in Newberry County, South Carolina.

"South Carolina Ninety Six district This indenture made 28th day of Sept 1791 in the 14th year of the American Independance between Solomon Lynch of the State of South Carolina and ninety six district planter of the one part & Joseph C Reagen...for consideration of fifteen pounds lawful money of South Carolina . Being part of two tracts of lands formerly referenced by antient grants thereof the said John Jay consigned unto Solomon Lynch dated 15 day of March 1788.

The Lynch and Arnold families appear in many references in this area.

9 and 10 May 1790. Isaac Lynch of Ninety-Six District, S. C., Carpenter, conveys to John Lowry of the aforesaid state and district, planter, for ten shillings and for ?.30. a tract of land containing 198 acres on the Eighteen-mile Creek, waters of Keowee River, bounding southwest on Isaac Titsworth's land, southeast and northeast on James Crowder's land, northwest on David Bragg's land, and on all other sides on vacant land.

David Linch owned land in Orange Co NC. Stagg Creek area. Nearby: Thomas and John Lynch; Zachery Cadel. David Linch appointed guardian of Joseph Tate, son of Ruth and Joseph Tate. David Linch granted a memorial for land in Newberry County SC in 1771.

Esther Embrey is reported married out of unity in North Carolina
