South River Cemetery
Harpersfield, Ohio

Old Harpersfield Covered Bridge, about 1/2 mile from cemetery on Harpersfield Road

South River Cemetery is located on South River Road in Harpersfield, Ohio, just east of Rt. 307. It is an older, small cemetery that is well kept. However, a number of stones are too worn to read and some are broken or settled into the ground. Some of the inscriptions may be deciphered by taking a rubbing of the stone, but this was not done here. Also, some rose bushes have overgrown stones and picture could not be gotten. This transcription was made August 3, 2002 by my mother (Judy) and me. Mom took the pictures, while I took transcriptions. She finished early and did some reading while I finished.

(Pictures of headstones will be linked up as time allows)
