This indenture, made this 16 day of October, A.D. 1905 between J.W. RECTOR and wife IDA RECTOR of Cocke County in the State of Tennessee of the first part and NOAH BAYLE and wife MAREY BAYLE of Jefferson County, Tennessee, of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and sixty dollars to us in hand paid by the said parties of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and to secure the payment of said note a specific lien is hereby retained on the property here conveyed, have granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and do hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey, unto the said parties of the second part the following described premises, to-wit, situated in District No. 4 of Cocke County, Tennessee and bounded as follows: Beginning on a stake on a white oak close to a poplar and near JOHN FINE'S fence, thence north thirty five ad one half west seventy five and one half poles to a chestnut oak, thence south fifty four west fifty five poles to the road, thence running with the road to a sweet gum on the bank of branch north side, then crossing the branch one time south forty eight and one half fifty four poles to a small pine by a log and pointed by three oak bushes, thence north eighty east five poles to the beginning, containing twenty seven acres and sixty four poles. with the hereditaments and appurtenances hereto appertaining, hereby releasing all claim to homestead and dower therein. To have and to hold the said premises to the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, forever. And the said parties of the first part for themselves and for their heirs, executors and administrators do hereby covenant with the said parties of the second part, their heirs an assigns, that they are lawfully seized in fee simple of the premises above conveyed and have full power, authority and right to convey the same that said premises are free from all incubances and that they will forever warrant and defend the said premises and the title thereto against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof he said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Personally appeared before me J.H. REECE a Notary Public of said State and County, the within-named bargainers, J.W. RECTOR and wife IDA RECTOR with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that they executed the within instrument for the purposes therein contained. And IDA RECTOR, wife of the said J.W. RECTOR, having appeared before me privately and apart from her husband, said IDA RECTOR, acknowledged the execution of said Deed to have been done by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly, without compulsion or constraint from her said husband, and for the purposes therein expressed. Witness my hand and official seal at office in this 16 day of October A.D. 1905.
