This Deed made this the first day of January 1894 by H. RECTOR and wife MILLY RECTOR of Madison County and State of North Carolina of the first part to GEORGE RECTOR and his heirs and assigns of Madison County and State of North Carolina of the second part. Witnesseth that said H. RECTOR and MILLY RECTOR in consideration of two hundred dollars to be paid by GEORGE H. RECTOR the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain, sell, and convey to said GEORGE H. RECTOR his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in No. 7 Township, Madison County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of JOSEPH RECTOR, JESSEY REDMON, ROSE REDMON and others bounded as follows: Beginning on a bush and a rock one of the corners of the said RECTOR and ROBERTS tract and is near where JACK FREEMAN did live and runs North and with the meanders of Bear Creek seventy six poles to a cotton wood thence North 70 degrees West and with the meanders of a ridge 108 poles to a small black pine and small persimmon bush and with he old JAMES P. RECTOR line to JOSEPH RECTOR line to and with JOSEPH RECTOR�S line to JESSEY REDMON on the old JAMES REDMON tract line and with that line to ROSE REDMON�S and with the ROSE�S line to Bear Creek and down Bear Creek to the beginning containing sixty acres more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said GEORGE H. RECTOR and to his heirs and assigns their only use and behoof forever. And the said H. RECTOR and MILLEY RECTOR covenant to and with the said GEORGE H. RECTOR and his heirs and assigns and that they are seized of said premises in fee and have right to convey the same in fee simple that the same are free from all incumbances and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claim of all persons whatsoever. In testimony where of the said H. RECTOR and MILLEY RECTOR have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.

I J.P. JARRETT, J.P., do hereby certify that H. RECTOR and MILLEY RECTOR his wife personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the said annexed deed of conveyance and the said MILLY RECTOR being by me privately examined separate and apart from her said husband touching her voluntary execution of the same doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily without fear or compulsion of her said husband or of any other person and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto this the 2 day of January 1894.
