DIED: At her residence in Wilbur precinct on Tuesday December 8, Mrs.. R.H. Wilbur, aged 66 years. The deceased was among the earliest settlers of the county and leaves to mourn her demise several sons, daughters and a host of friends. The funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church in this city tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon at 2 p.m.9

Age 89, of Santa Fe, died August 1, 1999, in Santa Fe.

She was born September 9,1909 in Baraboo, Wisconsin to Frederick Eugene Morey and Jessie Juanita Prentice Morey. She married E.T. Hensley, Jr. January 10, 1931.

Betty was a Charter Member and past president of Chapter R, P.E.O., Portales, a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Portales, and active in many other Civic Activities there until her husband Judge E.T. Hensley, Jr. was appointed to the New Mexico court of Appeals in 1966 and they moved to Santa Fe.

She was preceded in death by her first child, E.T. Hensley, III, in 1931, her husband E.T. Hensley, Jr., a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Brown Hensley, wife of Jackson Hensley, and a brother, Frederick E. Morey, Jr.

After Judge Hensleys death in 1967, Betty remained in Santa Fe and was a member of Chapter G, P.E.O. of Santa Fe.

She is survived by children: Fred T. Hensley and wife, Linda of Clovis, Bill Hensley and wife, Becky, of Plano, Texas, and Jackson and Tresa Hensley of Santa fe and Taos; two brothers, William Prentice Morey of Florida and George B. Morey of Chicago; grandchildren: Susan Hensley Stone, Amy Hensley Ingram, Rick Hensley, Lori Hensley Young, Lynne Hensley Gibson, Michael hensley, Janet Hensley Martin, Morica Hensley, and six great-grandchildren.

A family graveside service will take place in Portales Saturday, August 7, 1999.1

Ella's occupation was a dressmaker; Caroline is listed as the widow of George B.7 She and Caroline Amanda Cramb could have been included on the 1895 census in Ward 1, Baraboo, Sauk, Wisconsin, in the household of Fred Morey. This is a supposition due to the fact that the 1895 Census of Wisconsin only lists the total number of males and females.8

George's obituary states:

George Bradley Morey, 84, passed away on March 25, 2002. The youngest of four children, he was born in 1918 and raised in Baraboo, son of Fred and Jessie (Prentice) Morey. Fred Morey was founder and bandleader of the Legion Band for many years during the 1930s and 1940s. He was instrumental in establishing and supporting the Zoo at Oschner Park as well as the Municipal Outdoor Pool. The athletic field at the Baraboo High School was donated by Fred Morey, also. George, better known as Brad, married Eleanor Capener of Breezy Hill Farm and when the marriage ended in 1939 he left Baraboo for Chicago and played drums with various jazz bands all his adult life, into his 70s. He was associated with big band leader Stan Kenton, writing many of the arrangements recorded by that band, and arranged musical charts for many other bands as well, over the years. Brad married twice more, both of which ended in divorce. He is survived by four adult children: Janice Larvin, George Morey, Keith Morey and Collette Morey, as well as five grandchildren. Brad died of natural causes, was cremated and no services were held, at his request.1 George's obituary on 25 March 2002 in Baraboo, Sauk, Wisconsin.1
     George was buried after 25 March 2002 in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, located in Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin . In 2002, the ashes of Fred and Jessie's son George were laid to rest in the Morey Plot. Buried next to him parentr Fred E. Morey & Jessie J. (PRENTICE0; grandmother Caroline MOREY (CRUM) and Fred's first wife Bertha E. (BURT).5

He was a member of North Port Yacht Club and Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korean War. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Survivors include his wife, Rose M; two daughters, Katherine Farrester of Pahrumph, Nev., and Anne Marie Menke of West Chester, Ohio; a son, William P. Jr. of Campbell, Calif; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. National Cremation Society, Venice chapter, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church Building Fund, 513 Nassau St.,Venice, FL 34285.1 William's obituary on 16 March 2000 in printed in the Venice Gondolier, circulated in Venice, Sarasota County, Florida.1 He was cremated in Venice, Sarasota, Florida; and a plaque was placed in the garden of the St. Mark's Episcopal Church of Venice Florida in his memory.

     Winifred Maude Morey was born on 14 December 1875 in Amelia County, Virginia.1,2 She was the daughter of George Bradley Morey and Caroline Amanda Cramb. Winifred were listed as the daughter of Caroline Amanda Morey on the 1880 Census in Clinton Village, Lenawee, Michigan; Caroline appears as a widow.1
Winifred Maude Morey, Jessie Juanita Morey, Margaret Pierce, Morey Pierce, William Prentice Morey Jr., Kathleen Elizabeth Morey, Elizabeth Caroline Hensley, Frederick Morey II, William Prentice Morey and George Bradley Morey were listed as survivors in the 17 January 1951 obituary of Frederick Eugene Morey which printed in the Baraboo News Republic, circulated in Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin.3
