EARY, Leslie M. Sr., (Pete), 81, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, May 10, 2002. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Helen Radford Eary; parents, George Leslie and Maude Dean Eary; a sister, Lorraine Huff; and a brother, Gary Eary. Mr. Eary was a member of the Copper Hill Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his wife, Elva W. Eary; sons, Leslie M. "Les" Eary, Jr. and wife, Dianne, David L. Eary and wife, Martha, all of Salem; grandchildren, Melissa Raines, Cherie Eary, Drew Eary, Adam Eary, Lauren Eary; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Eary and Sarah Raines; brother, Bill Eary and wife, Lois of Troutville; extended family, Tim Holt and wife, BeBe of Manassas, Gerald Holt and wife, Linda of Salem, Carol Perdue and husband Kerry of Roanoke; and many friends. For those preferring to make memorials, the family suggests Copper Hill Church of the Brethren, PO Box 67, Copper Hill, Va. 24079 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 554, Roanoke , Va. 24003. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2002 at Simpson-Tharp Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, by the Rev. James R. Worline. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. EARY, Mary Helen Radford, 75, of Troutville, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 1996. Mrs. Eary was a long time member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, and was a retired teacher from the Roanoke County School System with 27 years service. Surviving are her husband, Leslie M. ("Pete'') Eary; her sons and daughters-in-law, Leslie (``Les'') M., J r. and Dianne N. Eary, David L. and Martha B. Eary, all of Salem; five grandchildren, Melissa Eary, Cherie Eary, Drew Eary, Adam Eary, Lauren Eary; one great-grandson, Jonathan Eary; her sister, Violet R. Hull, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's North Chapel Friday, April 19, 1 p.m., with the Rev. David A. Kirk and the Rev. Charles R. Doyle officiating. Interment in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
