John Allen Hurt



John Allen Hurt, 75, of Madison, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, in Autumn Care, Madison. He was born March 14, 1930, in Madison County the son of the late Wes and Bessie Weakley Hurt. Mr. Hurt was a retired welder foreman for Load Master, Inc., in Culpeper, with 35 years of service. He was a member of Elkton Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife, Irene Marie Hurt, of Madison; one daughter, Charlotte Pittman and her husband, Walter, of New Market; one son, Wayne Allen Hurt and his wife, Charlene, of Madison; one brother, Jerry Hurt, of Stanley; one sister, Helen Obando, of Miami, Fla.; five grandchildren, Calley, Chad and Matthew Pittman, Kristy Laplante and Angela Price; eleven great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special sister-in-law, Pearline Hurt, for her love and support, . Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel, Madison, with interment in Etlan Cemetery. Rev. Kinzy Reed, Pastor Jeff Shifflet, Rev. Ray Halverson, and Rev. Kent Woodward will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday evening, at the funeral home.
