RHODESLOUIS descends from the Rhodes of Belair, Devon County, England.
I will come back to these ancestors after I introduce my immediate family.
I also want to add here, that it is January 05, 2004 and I have been burned out on my ancestry work big time. I promise that I will be getting back to it soon as I do have some more information to add to the families here. I have also been quite ill with numerous problems.
Please forgive me and check back in a couple of months. God bless you and yours.
Sandi
He was a member of the 464th Bomb Group and flew 50 missions as a tailgunner
in a B24. He was very lucky to have survived. The survival rate was extremely low.
He was in the Polesti Oil Field Raid.
He was the most loving father and grandfather anyone could ever imagine in their wildest
dreams! He went way beyond "the call of duty" in that area. He did without so very much
so we could have things. He was a very jovial person. He loved to tell jokes and "poke fun"
at people. He never meant any harm by anything he said. He always tried to cheer you up.
God, how he is missed! Yet, I know we will be together again someday.
She died on her birthday at the age of 45 due to suicide. I have my ideas
on the reason that I will discuss later. She took an overdose of aspirin.
She left no note.
She was a beautiful person as you can see. She had many problems physical and mental.
My dad was born there and lived there all his life as far as I know.
His parents, Daisy and Earl, lived about 3 blocks from him.
Enough of my history.
