(The above data is based upon lineage papers submitted by members of D.A.R. Chapters in Michigan; it is a summary of more extensive material filed in the original papers.)

My ancestor was:
RICE, Benjamin, Westborough, Massachusetts
born:  12 February 1745 (DAR has date as 2 February 1745)
died:  8 April 1811, Conway, Massachusetts
married:  25 November 1775 to Sarah Green (1748-1840)

Of course there are more Rice soldiers listed in the D.A.R. Records than the above, whose descendants came to Michigan.  The best place to search for your ancestor in the D.A.R records, is in your local library.  Even rural libraries usually have at least a few of theses records.  If your library does not have these records ask about inter-library loans. You can also do a search at there site at http://www.dar.org
