     Veteran - Mexican War
     Married Rachel Leah Chew on May 7, 1840.
     Son of John & Mary (Packer) Derrickson.
     Note: HERE THEY SLEEP also listed as Civil War veteran with the 5th Wis Inf.
        but I could not verify any Civil War service. SLEEP was the only document
    that listed him as a Civil War veteran, I believe this was in error.
