March Term 1794
The petition of James & John Gatlin, Executors of Thomas Gatlin, humbly sheweth that Thomas Gatlin their Testator in his last Will and Testament gave a Negro Boy named Limbo to his son Mitchell Gatlin. That the said Mitchell died before the death of the Testator. That the testator in a subsequent Clause of his Will directed residum of his estate to be sold at nine months Credit. Your petitioners therefore praythat your Worship will Order the said Negro Limbo to be sold at nine months Credit for the payment of the debts and Legacies Contained in the said Will, as there is not sufficient to pay the debts & Legacies without, and your petitioner in duty bound shall ever pray, &c.
