I am a decendant of Dennis' son John - his son Alpheus, his son Lewis Bartholomew, his son
Henry Gail, his son Clyde (my dad). Alpheus married Married Mary Griffith in WV. Lewis
moved to IN and there married Amanda Swander (originally Schwander, from Al entown, PA).
Lewis & Amanda and 5 children moved from Delaware CO. IN to Montcalm County, MI around
1906. Youngest Son, Henry Gail (H Gail) married and settled in Lansing, MI. That's where
my parents originally lived and my sister & I born. Great proje t. Will gladly share

Hello. I am very new to this process. I have litle information about my family on either
side. My records only go back to my great-grandparents and I'm not sure how accurate they
are! My great-grandfather was John Springer who was married to Martha Sp aye. My
grandfather was Victor Springer. I've been told that some of my ancestors were located in

son Job, died without marrying or having any descendants. The Job Springer who is
mentioned was from Greene Co., Ala. and the Carolinas. This Job is not related to Dennis.

(molly) Springer and Christian Mohler. Magdelena born Mar 07, 1780 Manheim, co.pa. I have

Hi..have just started my family tree. My great grandfather..Josiah (Sweet or Small)
Springer was born in Uniontown, Pa 1830...his father..Henry Shepard Small (Springer?)who
was from Sweden. Henry married Eliza Clemens. Josiah married Demarious Elizabeth Price

The Dennis Springer who m'd Ann Pickett. Who was his parents? By the date of his marriage
he could have been born between 1716-1720. People m'd at the age of 15-20 back then(
sometimes) There is a Springer in DE by the name of Charles Springer b 1658 in weden d in
1738 in DE. He had the following son: Charles b 1693 in DE; Christopher b 1696 in DE; John
B b 1698 in DE; Andreas b 1700 in DE; Israel b 1705 in DE; Joseph b 1709 in DE. There was
another son name James Jacob Springer b 1703 in DE. I think I d s from this son. My
question is could Dennis be the grandson or greatgrandson of the Charles Springer of DE.
James Jacob had son Charles. This Charles had son Dennis in SC. and I des from him. This

I have been searching for some years, but mostly through the family information that we
already have - some names are similar, but I don't have any dates prior to the 1800's, so
will have to look around before saying we're related. Our Jacob (the first on I know of)
was born in 1801 at a location I'm not sure of. He married a Anna Catherine Widdekin that
came over on a ship with her family. Since the census's show the 'Springers' were all
Prussian, he may have come over on the same ship. I'll keep your email though just in

Jolliffe, son of Oliver P. Jolliffe, son of Amos Jolliffe, son of William Jollife, son of

I am searching on behalf of an 86 year old friend who doesn' use the computer. Her line
includes an Elizabeth M. (maybe Magdeline?) Springer, B 13 Aug 1817 in Harrisburg,
Dauphin, PA and D 5 June 1891. She married, abt 1835-36, John H. Brownnawell, B 5 Nov 1800
in Lebanon County, PA. Her father was Peter Springer, B 5 Nov. 1800 in PA married. abt
1816 ? or earlier, someone with last name of Grover, B abt 1795 ?. This person's mother, B
abt 1775 ?, lived in Iowa City, Iowa, and died at age 84. These are the two missing names
in my friends' family history records. Any help would be appreciated. |

John W. Springer from Lyles, Hickman County TN was my father. His father was John F.W.
Springer and he had 2 sisters, Betty and Cynthia. One brother Grover Cleveland. John F.W.
was married to (I have several names for her one of which is Amer) on my father's birth
certificate she's listed as Amy. They divorced and when she moved to name to Oklahoma she
legally changed her name to Ima Lee. John F.W. later married Mamie Kelly and they had two
sons. My father had two brother there names we e Jerry Baxter and Joseph Fred and his
sister was Flossie Olivia. I have some family research that goes back to Carl in England
and was knighted around 1600. Are these relatives? |

I inquired about Uriah Springer living with the Pendells in the 1850 census Mc Clean
County, IL. You wrote that he was the son of Sarah Pindell who died in 1846 Livingston
county, IL. She was married to William Springer 20 Jan 1831 in Brown County, OH. Was her

Great site! I am interested in the Springer family in Ohio. I have an ancestor Shadrach
Montgomery who also used the alias of Shadrach Springer when he was taken prisoner in
General Hull's surrender, War of 1812. This was said to be the name of his ste -father.
Shadrach and his mother were both from Western Pennsylvania and came to Ohio in 1802.
Franklin County, Ohio had a record for Shadrach who lived in Madison County, Ohio. Do not
have his mother's name nor step-father's name. I have grown old tryi g to find any
information on them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

grandmothers name was Beryl "Bea" Springer dob 10/12/1910 buried at Pythian
Ridge cemetary Sturgis, KY 7/31/99. She was wife of Ralph Earl Springer. As far as we
know, mos of them were from Sturgis, Central City and Kentucky Lake area in KY. We have

My father was David Simpkins Springer the son of Joseph Turpin Springer, born 1881 in
Pedricktown, NJ. He was the son of Alfred Springer and Charlotte Kille Springer. Alfred
was the son of John Merrick Springer. John Merrick Springer the son of John Sp inger. I
don't know if this fits in. My Springer family is concentrated in Salem County, New Jersey
and the Delaware/Pennsylvania area. New Jersey records beyond 1846 are not available.
